Maria is 13 years old and lives on a farm near Viborg.
Maria has two sisters and grew up with horses as her mother Rikke has been riding since she was young. Maria started riding when she was 3 years old and was first champion in 2012 as a 10 year old and is the youngest champion in show jumping outdoors ever. She also won her first S class at the ageof 10 at cat. 2 pony Cross. She has won the Danish championships in cat. 3, cat 2 and cat 1 pony.
She was first selected for the national team when she was 10 year old on her cat. 2 pony Cross.
Maria has been compeeting in several senior classes with her horse Londa. Her best senior result was a victory of the MB 125 cm at the national show at the age of only 11 years.
She was then selected for the European Championship for Children on horse. In addition, she won 3 danish championship medals and a 4th place at nordic championships with her hors Londa.
2015 has been a fantastic year for Maria and she has been the most successful jumping rider in Denmark with 5 DM / NM medals. Maria was in 2015 also selected for the European Championship on horse (children)
Maria and Ronaldo won the leaderboard for ponies in jumping in 2015 and it is the first time a cat. 2 pony is the winner of the leaderboard.
Marias biggest goal in 2016 was to win the Nordic Championship on her pony Flying Ronaldo. Maria has just been in Finland and she won gold at the Nordic Championship. So now she has won everything that can be won on him. Together they have won the Nordic Championship 2016 Danish Championship 2016 rankings for jumping ponies 2015 Baltic Cup Trophy 2015.
Maria has been selected to ride CSIOP in the European championships for cat. 1 ponies on his cat. 2 pony Flying Ronaldo in August 2016.
Maria is educated on an elite school in Viborg which is supported by Team Denmark, so that she has the opportunity to use the needed time on her horses together with her education.
